I am proud to say I was able to see him run while he was in High School andhe is a MONSTER!!! Way better than Mr. Overrated Addai.
I'm sorry, but that is a terrible idea.
    Go Colts! (12-5)

    On a couple of carries?
Honestly the only time I'll care what comes out of Terrell Owens' mouth is when it's his own foot... It's a wonder he can still run with the way that thing is permanently lodged up there.

Thank you for everything Coach Dungy! You will be missed!!!

  4. I dont remember Joe doing this much dancing in his rookie year or last year. I cant tell if its an injury or not, but i dont believe for one second it has anything to do with the Oline. Fact of the matter is, if the O-line isnt holding up long enough for Joe to make cutbacks, then Joe needs to make the adjustment and hit the first hole he see's. Its like he's trying to break a big one and the only big one he breaks is a big fat loss of yards. We dont need our RB's breaking the big one. We have so many weapons. We just need a guy that can get 4 yards when he's asked to run the ball. Joe just isnt doing that. Someone needs to pull him aside and tell him to make the adjustment because either that hasnt happend, or he's not listening. The guy above me was right in another thread. Addai literally gets the ball and stops behind the line and gets smoked. Defenses are collapsing the middle of the line. By the time Addai finds a cutback, its plugged before he gets going through it. He's slow. He's tenative. His vision is questionable all of a sudden. I dont know what it is. Its not the offensive line though. Anyone with a lick of sense who actually watches the whole game could tell you that.

  5. Also, the playcalling could be alot better for Joe too. If he likes to cutback, then get him to outside. Pull a guard or something. Let him cutback outside the tackles. Asking him to run inbetween the tackles with his style is too much to ask right now. I certaintly dont wanna see that horrible pitch play we started to use in the first game this year, but they could run some off tackle stuff. These running plays we've been running arent creative at all. Get Addai to the outside and help him out a bit.

I just wanted to make this post here since the other Addai thread was locked again and i could not respond.

GMAC, you made this statement to me on the other thread. "Those long runs are statistical anomalies. You might want to recheck your facts...Dom has zero 100 yard games this year. Neither running back has been good this year but Joe is the better back."

Dominic Rhodes in 2 starts went over 100 TOTAL yards both games. My facts were correct. You simply did not read what i wrote. Just wanted to point this out since my post was questioned in another thread in which i could not respond.

  7. addai has had some very good runs, but im still not sure if hes 100%. hes not match fit.

rhodes is playing well, but even he is gettin tackled for a loss more often than not.

people are saying rhodes is the better back, but i think thats the wrong way to look at it.

at the start of the season neither of them were getting anywhere.

addai got injured just when the oline was getting healthy, and rhodes has seen some success. since addai has been back hes had some success to, but i thought it would take a couple of games to be back to 100%.

he hopefully should be back to himself today. but i do agree that he's not an every down back, as that doesnt really suit his style.

i am hoping today he'll showcase his ability and tear up the field

    thank you for this comment.

addai is more than just a runner, hes one of the best receiving backs around. anyone remember the play against NE last year?

if you set up a screen he will always take it for positive yardage, or break a big one.

hes simply not at the top of his game yet

The running game, or lack of, is a compilation of a few things I feel.

    1. A young offensive line
    2. Playing some very tough defenses this year
    3. Oline is built to pass protect first and then run block. Always has been.
    4. Play calling is same ole same ole and the defenses know their keys
    5. Lacking the deep threat this year and last year with Marv

Not one thing here weighs bigger than the other here except maybe the deep threat but it is more of all together, good teams are allowed to exploit these weaknesses inside a good gameplan. I would almost gaurantee that if/when the Manning/Harrison deep ball get in synch, the running game becomes a bigger threat regardless of the other 4 issues unless the young olineman are tipping off the type of play they are going to run. I couldn't telll you they are or are not, I aint that smart but defensive guys are.

The oline is playing the pass so much better the last 3 games or so, so lets see how this helps get Manning and Harrison back on the same page and the timing comes back to game speed. If that happens, like I said, your going to see that run game open up all of the sudden and it is because the defense will have to be playing back just a few more yards to protect it which should allow better seams to get Joe or Dom into the open for bigger yards.

Like others have said, rather get hot in the last 8 games than starting out hot in the first and overinflating your egos at the end.

I am ready for the darn game today!!!!
