Default Mike Iupati, OG, Idaho.

After looking at our O-Line's performance, I really think we need to get this guy in the first Round, even if we need to trade up a bit.

RG is by far the worst position on the Line, and neither Pollack or DeVan are getting the job done.

Mike Iupati is maybe the best Guard I've seen to come out from College in the last 5 years. The guy just has it all.
He's the type of Lineman that you put in there and will be solid at least for the next 8 years.
He has size (6'5'', 330 Lbs.), athleticism (5.1 40) and is incredibly powerfull.

And when you do this (Iupati, LG) to Rey Maualuga, you are good:

We got a bust with Pollack in the Second Round, and if Polian will try to find another guy (which I think he will) he may not wanna risk it again and take the safest option in the Draft.

I dont know if I wanna take a OG in the 1st, although if we had no shot at top LTs or LBs in round 1, I would be fine with trading down into the early 2nd to get this guy.

Who cares, end of 1st or top of second, you don't risk what you want and is available. Not saying this is the guy but too much is made about trading down5 or so spots to pick up another 7th round pick. Just pick and move on, we are not that far from being deep all over.

Can this guy pass block? What is Idaho, a pass or run oriented team?

I'm actually affraid the Steelers could get him before we do (of course considering we're seletcing at 32 )

I would totally use a 1st Rounder on him, probably one of the safest picks of the Draft.

Honestly if he is one of the safer picks in the draft, you make the deal and not worry about picking up another pick or worry about people thinking you picked him too soon and all. The same thing was said about Freeney as well when the Colts took him in that he was taken too early at #11 and he turned out ok. Take the person you want at the spot you know you can get him if you feel so strong about his talents. My guess though if he is that good, we are not going to get him with the 32nd pick anyways

We might have to take this guy in the 1st to get him. He is really rising, and if players like DT Arthur Jones, LB Sean Weatherspoon, and LT Anthony Davis are all gone, then I think we should definately go for him.

A dominant OG like Iupati would really impact this team allowing us to run the ball better and giving Peyton some much needed strength and power on that OL.
